From Cllr warmishams Blog.
Try half of Salford I agree with Cllr warmishams Statement it would be disastrous for the city and the country.
Well the residents complain there are no traffic wardens to be seen. So i set up a meeting with the residents and the top man from Urban Vision who seems surprised and will look into it. And guess what i get this today.
Tory Policy? what is Tory policy? what ever looks good on the DAY.

One Comment from a fellow Lib Dem Read It and then think about voting Tory.
I remember the Thatcher years well. One of my strongest memories is of my dad driving me to hospital, telling mum that he’d lost his job that morning. Dad had never been out of work before, he’d worked for the same company for over 25 years; as a result he drove taxis for a while just to ensure we had food on the table.
Maggie may have been a powerful leader, but like “New Labour” she failed to take notice of those who matter, the people. Long after she’s gone, her Conservative party will be remembered for the poll tax, a costly Falklands War and massive unemployment which led to a recession and millions facing repossession of their homes.
I think this time of the year the gloves should start to come off.
So any one who wishes to really debate the issues and want some real answers lets go for it. Lets throw out the Political correctness it’s time for honest answers.
Wake up Salford to what you will Get under the Tories.
You may not have lived through what Thatcher gave this country. But i suggest you read up, ask why the Tories have been in the wilderness for so long.Ask the people who could not find work. They will never change, you have before you something that the other parties are short of including my own.
A Smart suited salesman who works well in front of the cameras take that away. And what have you got the same old Tory party, it will never change. Look at the old guard. Before you put down your x ask you Mum or your Dad what they went through.Don’t be fooled think.
Conservatives may need emergency budget after poll.Of course they will and we all no what that means
Conservatives may be forced to stage an emergency budget to calm markets and prevent Public spending will be a key battleground of the next election, with the Conservatives accusing Labour of ignoring reality by pledging to continue to spend.
Hammond, who as “shadow” chief secretary to the Treasury is likely to be the man who would have to rein in public spending if the Conservatives win, said he was “likely to become a great figure to pin up on the dartboard and throw darts at.”
“I am sure there will be short-term pain,” he said. For who Mr Hammond not for the Wealthy i bet,the real Tory core voters.
Martin Bell ‘considering challenge to Blears’ So when will he throw in his hat i expect it soon any comments.
Martin Bell, the sleaze battling former independent MP, could challenge Hazel Blears in her Salford constituency at the next general election.
The former journalist spoke of the move amid continuing anger about the communities secretary’s failure to pay capital gains tax on the sale of her London flat which resulted in her repaying over £13,000.
He told the Daily Telegraph: “I’ll be 71 by the time the next election comes round, but I wouldn’t rule it out.
“I am a great believer in local heroes and it would be great if the local people of Salford could find one of their own to come forward.
“If nobody does then it is definitely something I would consider. I am spoilt for choice at the moment.”
Mr Bell stood down as MP for Tatton in 2001, having previously unseated the Tory Neil Hamilton who was implicated in the cash for questions scandal.
Meanwhile, Gordon Brown has given full backing to work and pensions secretary James Purnell and transport secretary Geoff Hoon whose expenses claims have also received criticism, sparking claims he was withdrawing support to Ms Blears.
One ally of Ms Blears told the Telegraph: “This is about politics rather than expenses. She seems to have been singled out for a misdemeanour that others in the Cabinet are also guilty of.”
Niegbourhood managment affective or not?
We are lucky to have what i believe one of the best within Swinton South. The problem is i do not feel the team have the resources to cope with demand. And put under pressure areas will suffer. i have grave concerns that true neighborhood working needs residents to be fully involved working in groups, having the ability to pressure councils along with support from Local councillors and agencies ,for the best possible for their areas. I do not feel we have at present any real levels of community involvement. Our community committees all though a fantastic idea constantly have the same faces, for what ever reason it lacks real growth or new stimulus. We are trying to set up as many residents groups we can within Swinton South to cover any needs we feel have to be addressed. The trouble is can the team facilitate our demands.
Well yesterday i had a meeting over babes our local Brothel
What ever way i have turned over this issue i have come up against a brick wall.I have been critical over the inactions of the council. But yesterday i met with one of the councils solicitors and read a number of papers relevant to this issue i think i can state they have been working hard in the background to come to a successful conclusion. The faults i can see are in the legislation ,it is weak and infective.I hope some of the points raised yesterday could see some light, but i will keep you updated. I hope during the week to follow up a range of suggestions. I have written to Our MP in the hope of support and i will be asking to meet with Cllr Merry Later this week subject to his availability.
