Well seems that St Georges is staying open.
So the big question is what’s next?
Harrop fold?
I can see a lot of people with red faces on this one. It seems so long ago listening to Mr Hart make is passionate speech at full council to save the school. Marching in support with Norman Owen and Martin ,and the meetings Norman had with the diocese. If i am not mistaken Martin went to see Mr Hart also. I like many have found the episode unsavoury and upsetting for both Staff Children and Parents. But with luck lets look to the future.

Tory shame as Sir Nicholas Winterton slaps a Labour MP’s bottom
By James Lyons 6/11/2009
Tory grandee Sir Nicholas Winterton slapped a female Labour MP’s bottom in front of her stunned colleagues.
Sir Nicholas struck Natascha Engel’s backside as she queued in the Commons’ tearoom.
Ms Engel, 43, MP for Derbyshire North East, yesterday branded him a “silly old man” but said she would not be taking any action.
Sir Nicholas, 71, who is married to fellow Conservative MP Ann Winterton, came up behind Ms Engel as she waited at the buffet.
She was too shocked to complain at the time and hurried off to sit with friends.
Ms Engel told them: “I can’t believe it. Sir Nicholas has just slapped my bottom.”
Yesterday, she played down the incident, which leaked out on Twitter.
he said: “It was just a really stupid thing for an old man to do. But I didn’t take offence and I’m not going to take it any further.
“He is just a silly old man.”
Sir Nicholas, who is standing down over his Commons expenses, told journalists he couldn’t remember the incident but admitted it may have happened.
The Macclesfield MP said: “I have a friendly relationship with most members of the House, male and female. Can I remember this incident? No. Can I categorically deny it? The answer is no. I’m quite a normal person. Will I slap a colleague on the back, will I slap a colleague in friendship? The answer is, it’s certainly possible. I certainly don’t deny it and I certainly can’t recall it.
“Perhaps, if these things were quite normal, you don’t remember them.”
Sir Nicholas said he did remember queuing to buy soup and a doughnut, but no more. He added: “I find this quite extraordinary. I certainly would have remembered it if there was any objection or hostile response.”
Sir Nicholas also insisted he doesn’t “make a habit” of slapping people’s bottoms. He said: “You might just do it now and again if you felt so disposed, if you had a sensible, friendly relationship with an individual.
“But do I go around pinching bottoms? Certainly not. I’m a Conservative.”
The incident, which happened on Tuesday, was revealed by Labour’s “Twitter Tsar” Kerry McCarthy, a friend of Ms Engel.
She “tweeted” about it and also mentioned it on her internet blog, without naming those involved. Ms McCarthy also revealed the appalling table manners of another top Tory – later revealed as Sir Winston Churchill’s grandson Sir Nicholas Soames.
She wrote on her blog: “Shocking behaviour by two Tory grandees in the Members tearoom, yesterday.
“One was seen to waltz in, grab meat from the buffet with his bare hands, stuff it into his mouth and waltz off again. Another – a knight of the realm no less! – slapped a shocked female Labour MP on her bottom.
“Perhaps their excitement over the collapse of Cameron’s ‘cast-iron guarantee’ on Lisbon has gone to their heads.
“It’s like Lord of the Flies in the Tory ranks – and it’s fairly obvious who Piggy is!”

A military psychiatrist went on the rampage at an army base in the US, shooting dead 13 and injuring dozens more.
Armed with a semi-automatic weapon, Major Nidal Malik Hasan entered a station used to ready soldiers for deployment overseas at the Fort Hood compound in Texas and started firing.
Within minutes, 13 soldiers at the base were dead or left dying from their wounds. At least 31 others – including two civilians – were injured in an attack described by President Barack Obama as a “horrific outburst of violence”.
The gunman was shot, but contrary to initial reports he was not killed. The suspect is currently under custody in hospital where he said to be in a stable condition.
It is believed that Major Hasan was shortly to be sent to either Iraq or Afghanistan, something family members said would have been his “worst nightmare”.
Nader Hasan, a cousin of Major Hasan, described the suspect as “a good American”.
He told Fox News that the family was “shocked”, adding: “We just found out on the news that he was being deployed, he never even told us.
“We’ve known for the last four or five years that was probably his worst nightmare. He deals with stories, he would tell us how he would hear thing, horrific things.”
Mr Hasan added that his cousin had also complained of being harassed by others in the military.
Army officials refused to speculate on a motive as they began to investigate what could have driven the military mental health expert to apparently go on the rampage.
But Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson confirmed that she had been told by a military source that the army psychiatrist was about to be deployed, although she couldn’t say where or when.
She added that the suspect had aired grievances against being sent overseas.
The shootings began yesterday at around 1.30pm local time (7.30pm GMT) at Fort Hood’s readiness centre – a station where soldiers undergo medical checks before being sent off to Iraq and Afghanistan.
In the immediate aftermath of the incident three other suspects were detained on the base. But an official from Fort Hood said today they believe that the killings were the result of a single shooter.
The Fort Hood compound – the US’s largest military base – was immediately placed under lock down, with all vehicles barred from entering or leaving the complex.
It was only declared safe some five hours later.
Mr Obama met with aides in the White House’s Situation Room after being informed of the incident.
In remarks given after speaking with senior military personnel, the US president said: “We do not know all the details at this moment.
“What we do know is that a number of American soldiers have been killed and even more have been injured in a horrific outburst of violence.”
Mr Obama said his thoughts and prayers were with the wounded and the families of the fallen.
He added: “It is difficult enough when we lose these brave Americans in battles overseas. It is horrifying that they should come under fire at an army base on American soil.”
Fort Hood is a sprawling 340 square mile military installation situated 50 miles south of Waco.
It houses some 4,929 active duty officers and 45,414 enlisted members of the army.
One of those injured in the shooting later died, bringing the total death toll to 13, a US Army spokesman said.
Christopher Haug, head of media relations at Fort Hood, said: “We have lost one more. It is 13 dead and 30 wounded.”
Speaking on GMTV, he confirmed the suspect remained in hospital in a stable condition.
Describing the atmosphere on the base in the aftermath of the attack, he said: “The soldiers here have deployed to war and defended the nation and have ended up being attacked on their own home turf.
“It is obviously devastating to all of us and our hearts and minds go out to the families and friends of those who were injured or killed.”
