socialist alliance ? Dave Nellis.

Perhaps a Labour member could update me on who this  guy was. Is this the way the Hazel campaign is going, Barry told me he was booted out of the Labour party seemed to have new converts tonight. I listened to him speak perhaps if he put on a German accent, and i closed my eyes it could have been 1939 all over again? i had never seen so much passion. By the way for any right wing Liberal nuts who Read this Mr Ellis is no more a Nazi than me, i saw a man of passion but what i felt was he was leading a group of people away from something they believed in on a trip to the Far left. For those of interest sadly it was people like this who helped to portray the Party i believed strongly in as the loon-y left, and i for one feel he was wrong to do so. We all have the right of free speech i think ? until i am told other wise groups like this if they say they represent the people they should do so,don’t be lead by militants.

Well i have just come back from the Hazel must go campaign, sorry it’s now called something else.

I have just sat with my good friend barry Woodling and two ladies from Lang worthy drinking the worst glass of shandy in the Worst pub in Salford. And to top off the night i have had to listen to some of the biggest load of rubbish from a group that is in free fall.

Hazel blears don’t worry about this campaign it’s dead in the water. Your challenger,Arrest_hazel_blears_protest Tonight he left the orange vest at home. The night would have been topped off if someone dressed as Stalin popped in he would have been at home.I felt sad that a group of people with a concern and valid points have been taken off the rails. I sat at the meeting in Eccles and it was well attended and many people spoke with passion, the man who was elected seemed honest and open but what real chance will he now having been shackled with a far left agenda? none.He should have been allowed to air is concerns, Tony Benn said about standing up to be counted, but i fear this campaign is floundering.

Copyrights and wrongs

Imagine it’s 4am and you are happily subdued in sleep. In a couple of hours your alarm will abruptly remind you that another day has begun and you’ll have to tear off the covers you are snugly wrapped in.

But also imagine that while in this oblivious slumber, a nifty little robot is rooting through your CD collection in the living room. It has no record of who you are, neither does it record your address, but it does take a note of the album you burned off a friend’s laptop last week.

And this robot goes round doing the same with 40 per cent of the people in your neighbourhood, building up a picture of copyright-infringing music in the area.

If Virgin is your internet service provider, it is likely that the digital version of this robot will be visiting you in secret very soon.

Using a system called CView, Virgin will run a trial where it “monitors” file-sharing activities across 40 per cent of its network.

When CView spots a file that is being downloaded via file-sharing software, it will peek inside the content and match it to a publicly unknown database to determine whether it infringes copyright.
