I like the Salford Star but I am a bit bemused as to why anyone would think it ought to receive taxpayers’ money…?
Tell you what ian lets look out of the box for a minute and say the star was funded. It would offer the ability to the Editor to dig into what’s really going on at the council, highlight the issues free from constraints and give the people something to think about, That’s unless you think the advertiser still does it’s job. I wonder would we have the issues you go on about with new Labours legacy if we had some one with the balls to print the issues you tend to highlight?i don’t think so.
