A sizeable 64 per cent of those who voted Lib Dem agreed “the Conservatives have more to gain than the Liberal Democrats by being in the coalition”.

And 52 per cent agreed the party seemed to have “sold out”.

On cuts, 48 per cent said they went “too far”, against 19 per cent of Tory voters.

And 42 per cent of Lib Dem voters agreed they “don’t really know what Nick Clegg stands for”.

Almost two-thirds oppose Tory schools chief Michael Gove’s ­decision to axe building projects.

Renewing our nuclear missile ­subs is opposed by 63 per cent.

ComRes chairman Andrew Hawkins said: “A ­sizeable proportion of Lib Dems are ­unhappy that Nick Clegg cut a post-election deal with the Tories. They now regret voting Lib Dem.”
