Am i wrong or do i feel it’s in the air that Local Liberal Democrat activist accross the country are trying to dissociate themselves from their Tory partners? it’s seems strange to me that without the support of the Liberal Democrats we would have no Tory Government.I wonder are they now seeing the light as the months fly by to may. I used to have problems filling leaflets now the only problem i have is what to put first.

Child Benifit will be safe with us untill we are elected and all this with the support of the Liberal Democrats.
George Osborne demolished the universal principle at the heart of the welfare state today with the withdrawal of child benefit from 1.2 million higher income families, prompting warnings that he was punishing the party’s middle-class base and undermining stay-at-home mothers.
It will mean a loss of £1,055 a year for one-child families and almost £2,500 for those with three children.
Although the prime minister, David Cameron, had warned his party that the “rubber was about to hit the road” on spending cuts, many senior backbenchers feared the manner of today’s attack on child benefit was badly misdirected.
The Treasury acknowledged the cut would lead to the anomaly of a two-income family earning as much as £86,000 not losing the benefit while a family with the father earning more than £44,000 and the wife staying at home will lose all of it.
I honestly believe this is the first steps to the destruction of what we have known in this country as the welfare state,the Tory party will never change from it’s basic ideology. I could never understand how we could spend billions on weapons of mass destruction and allow the basics that any civilised country needs, to protect it’s people rights to help where it needs it most.Of course the Tories call us lefties,well the lefties in my opinion are the people who are prepared to get out and do something.I only hope thousands like those in Birmingham follow, this will not be the end of the Tory Liberal Democrat cuts,what concerns me is how much more can the low income earners take from this uncaring Government.It saddens me that People within the Labour party seem to be sitting back and saying nothing,For a party that claims to support the working class i think it as forgotten it’s routes.Perhaps labour died the day it put New before it’s title.
