Things are looking good for the Green party in Norwich will Salford be willing to follow in MAY?

New make up of council since 2010 elections:
Labour 16 seats, Green 14 seats, LibDem 5 seats, Conservative 4 seats.

The Green Party has won an extra seat on Norwich City Council, maintaining the progress it has made at every local election since 2002.

Norwich now has the highest number of Green councillors of any UK council ever.

September 9th’s election gain came in Thorpe Hamlet ward, at the expense of the Lib-Dems. The Greens also saw a substantial increase in their vote in Lakenham ward.

Saw Bill Hinds yesterday.

There walks a worried man,i think the cuts will be prying on his mind. What ever the Tories and Liberal Democrats throw into the pot,Bills the man who will have to start the ball rolling in regards to what get chopped,

What ever goes i hope to break down the losses in services and manpower, and then with luck itemise the waste and try to look at a balance,i can’t see it taking long. The sad part is with the leadership within the council and the Labour groups patronage i think people will be able to see the inability of the council to weather a storm. The running of the city in my humble opionion as been so close to the edge any real issues will throw it over the top,and they are so close to those Dirty words of Job loses and cuts.

Time for action after Labour mismanagement

Strange words leaking out from the Liberal Democrat Leadership.Even stranger “i will not listen to John Merry and his fellow Labour Councillors bleating that everything the coalition is doing is wrong” Because of Liberal Democrat influence the coalition Government is introducing policies that will benefit people in the long term.

I hope the people of Salford remember those words very carefully in May when the Local elections come around. Benefiting people in the long term.I really hope the voters who have lost their-

  1. Jobs
  2. Benefits
  3. Bus Passes
  4. Paying extra vat
  5. Losing free school meals for their children.
  6. If living outside Salford there Schools
  7. Police on the street
  8. The farce over Child Benefits
  9. Student fees increases
  10. Free swimming
  11. Tax credits from families on less than £30,000
  12. Loss of public services within our communities.

Think long and hard that this is only the start.

If this is Benefiting the people then i beg to differ, the reality is the Liberal Democrats have lost all credibility with their coalition , Of course Labour are the main culprits they are the ones who were in power, the question is the Liberal Democrats were in opposition with the Tories what efforts did they use to highlight these issues that have now come to light,in realty nothing.the methods they have chosen to tackle the problems in my mind seem to aimed at the poor, the sick and the less fortunate, when will we see the upper sections of our communities pay there share? in reality  more than likely never.
