Two MPs giving the city the same message? what’s your thoughts.

10571057 We will all have some tough days ahead, today i have received letters from the Market traders on Swinton precinct they have received their notice to vacate there stalls, what future for them? i will be asking one independent local councillor for help to see if he  will ask  the precinct if it’s possible to keep them on. Not the best time of the year to loose your lively hood. Years of neglect under new Labour and thrown to the dogs under the Condems.

What wages would we get under our Liberal Democrat Friends?

Working like squirrels for peanuts.I wonder if any of our Liberal Democrat friends have ever faced the indignity of claiming benefits? no thought not. Our Labour Government did create a benefit culture there’s no argument, the problem is getting people into real training to offer real skills and promote a climate to see growth and prosperity within our communities. If you have been on long term benefits offer help, the reality is we don’t,i spoke to one girl who wanted to do a hairdressing course £ 250. not a lot of money to many but to some it’s a small fortune could she get help to help her self? no she could get nothing and now she is a one parent family still on benefits, her fault no. The fun part is now we want to see people on benefits working for free. i always thought labour was a commodity like every thing else. We put millions out of work and flood the market with free labour. Some how the equation for growth seems sadly not to add up. But how can i argue against a regime that thinks by slashing every thing that moves is the answer.Yes we do have scroungers dig them out it’s not hard but don’t put every one in the same 02flexible-labour-forcecategory.

    Thought of the day

DSC01323 Months later and at a possible cost of £17.000 the valley estate still as no CCTV. It concerns me on a couple of issues,

    1. Why the delay?
    2. Why stick it in a Garden where someone will eventually live?
    3. Why site it when the most it will cover will be around three streets.
    4. And finally would we not be better spending our money to put say, wardens on the ground instead of investing in what appears to be the most expensive pole in Swinton?
    5. Perhaps the Local Councillor from the valley would like to comment?
    6. We had wardens who were in my opinion a great success but what price progress under a New Labour Council.
