Had a great day out yesterday in Clifton

I was invited to take some pictures of an event that took place in Clifton yesterday and to be honest i would have to say it was a fantastic success for the organisers. They funded the event and got donations from many bodies,it was a pleasure to see some old friends Barry warner and Bernard Lee, i spoke with the mayor and his Lady wife and our MP Hazel Blears it seemed

strange in a sense to be able to take off the political mask and interact,i would ask Our Council Leader one point and one point only did he not feel this type of event was worth sponsoring? It showed me the good side of people yesterday i witnessed real Salford People coming together even under the adversity we are facing and God it was good,i hope we can see more of this type of event and less of the stage managed shows the council seem to put together by doing this we can get in to our communities and work with the people to make a better place.
