Sad really that the planning application was not passed yet and the shops have received their notice to quit. Sad when you hear words of bent and foul play.Sadder still when you talk with a 90 year old facing eviction. Some of the shop are selling off goods on the cheap and the staff are looking for jobs. The government will not protect council-funded youth services from swingeing cuts when it announces a new strategy for teenagers next week, the Guardian has learned.
Despite its own research pointing out that closures of youth clubs in north London had been a factor in the riots, the government proposals for the nation’s 4.5 million teenagers rule out protecting such clubs or ringfencing budgets for youth services.

it must stay neutral…
