Salford Mayoral Referendum polling stations will open tomorrow morning at 7am til 10pm. The Green Party in Salford strongly recommends a NO vote in this election. The so called “Mayoral Alliance” is an unholy coalition of extremists including the right-wing English Democrats along with former Lib Dem fringe members (none of whom reside in the City of Salford.) backed by the Conservative party.
They plan on standing a candidate that will impose a sweeping program of draconian cuts in the poorest wards of our city, slash public spending on valuable community projects and groups (especially those that support minority and marginalised section of our diverse community).
The Mayor’s proposed £100k annual salary is an expense our city cannot afford at his moment in time, and whatever the unholy alliance tell you… this will NOT reduce council tax. It will all cost us more, dearly.
Keep Salford TIDY & free from right-wing extremism – please use your vote and send a big NO to the town hall tomorrow.
