One more Salford Shooting are we losing control of our streets.

Raiders shot a dog and stabbed two men in a frenzied attack on two homes.

A 45-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after being repeatedly knifed when the gang of four or five men broke into his home on Haddon Street, Lower Broughton, in Salford, at around 8.20pm last night.

The man’s Staffordshire Bull Terrier has undergone emergency surgery to remove a bullet from its body, but is expected to survive.

A 33-year-old neighbour was also taken to hospital with a stab wound to his hand after the gang went on to force their way into his home.

The attackers had fled by the time armed response officers arrived at the scene and police are now appealing for witness to help them establish the circumstances surrounding the incident

Week by week we see reports on how crime is down, and  yet we have to read more shocking articles like this from the MEN. I think we really need to ask our civic leaders what the hell is going on.Is Salford getting worse day by day? can we expect anything better if  all we see is community support officers on our streets?
