. Five fire engines along with a fire boat and hazardous materials officers were called to the scene at around 7pm yesterday (March 29), where they remained until midnight. They are using an inflatable barrier to stop the fuel from spreading and are back at the scene this morning with officials from the Environment Agency and United Utilities to find the source of the leak. Jonathan Fletcher, crew manager at Sale, said: “It is still leaking and you can smell it.
