Labour leader Ed Miliband hit out at the coalition government on Tuesday saying that the people needed "answers, not excuses."

How can you make a speech to the people of Harlow and then forget a simple thing like the answers. The reality is Labour have no answers to the problem they created, they feel more at home sitting and shouting from the side-lines. In Salford this week we have a New Mayor is answer to the problems in Salford, more of the same he makes few changes  shuffles his pack and puts money in to a few more Labour members pockets,if the people of Salford are expecting miracles from Mr Stewart they could be in for a long wait. People wanted change and then vote for more of the same no surprise only this time Labour have free run of the Mad house due to Salford residents voting out the opposition.

Comment off Salford Online made me think

Einstein’s definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results. Do the people who keep relentlessly voting for Labour, regardless of how badly they perform, honestly expect things to change for the better? Or maybe they’re so happy with riots and high levels of unemployment they just want even more of it? In which case, well done, you’re going to get it – it’s inevitable!

Don’t forget people Cllr Merry had a Free ride blaming the Tories. After Thursday we have a Fresh team to blame.

Mr Ian Stewart and his team of highly paid assistants,no body else the buck stops with them, don’t get hoodwinked by labour again. Lets wait to see their first austerity Labour Budget of cuts, cuts, and more cuts. You voted Labour in and forced out the Liberal Democrats, the Tories will retreat to their strongholds  and labour have no opposition to concern them,We will continue to fight from outside but need your support, don’t let apathy tear this city apart.

This is my favourite.

Gena Merrett, becomes `Assistant Mayor’ for the newly merged Housing and Environment department.

With the housing shortage, and the declining Environment i look forward to seeing how this post develops with the keenest of interest. For all those living in squalled conditions and sitting last on the housing list don’t forget the name, but if you do don’t worry because i wont,

Salford Mayor, Ian Stewart, introducing his `new’ Assistants, called the appointments part of "a brighter future for the people of Salford and their families"… or should we say

A brighter future for all the labour Councillors creaming off the special allowances, and the people of Salford voted for change, all they got was Ian on a massive salary and a shed load more of freeloaders

all at the expense of Salford Tax payers no wonder they are all smiling. One big happy family.

i wonder how much will Stewart cost the city?

It seems like jobs for the boys,i can’t wait to do an  analyses  on the overall cost. I hope we can monitor each of  what ever there called “(assistant mayors) over the next two years and put forward a case on how apathy in Salford effects jobs, services, and standards. it seems the only people who will benefit are Labour Councillors not the Tax paying public.

Well fresh off the star the same bunch of the same i wonder how much will this lot cost the city of Salford,i see Cllr Warmisham was well rewarded. He called me a failure well i think Ian Stewart recognised your potential along with others.

Star date: 9th May 2012

SAME OLD NAMES IN NEW MAYOR’S CABINET – LANCASTER, MERRY, ANTROBUS, HINDS, CONNOR…BUT WARMISHAM IS OUT

Salford’s new Mayor, Ian Stewart, has announced his nine `assistant mayors’ who will make up his `new’ cabinet. And seven of them already had positions of power in the last administration.

The Deputy Mayor is Councillor David Lancaster, who was also Deputy Leader previously, while there are still places at Salford Council’s slightly re-shuffled top table for John Merry, Bill Hinds, Derek Antrobus and Peter Connor. The major casualty is John Warmisham but the message sent out by the underwhelming appointments is `More of the same’…

And Salford you voted for change looks like you are in for no surprises, but come the next budget i guarantee many of you will be looking for work, while this lot sit all cosy.
