Heaping abuse on the electorate as comments on the star site are doing is not calculated to get a serious debate going. I would love to deal with a lot of the Myths and to explain why I believe our policies are in the interests of the people of the city but I think I will have to do it on my own blog
It worries me in a sense that like most media outlets the Star is trying hard to highlight the
disgusting levels of apathy within this city, and of course ask the simple question why go to the ballot box at such great expense to the city and vote for a mayor who will more than likely take £100,000 pounds a year, giving us a promise of change, and then does completely opposite. He even gives all the old guard a job? we then get one new assistant mayor i think the titles right who says i believe their policies are right but refuses to debate. To be honest i think the people of Salford have been conned. The new mayor can do nothing in this budget but mark my words when the next financial year comes round the people of Salford and the workers will be hit,Mr Stewart will be hiding behind the Tory blame barricade when the unions come banging on his door, and the people who could not be bothered to vote will have no voice, that’s when we can look back on sites like this and the star and say.
WE TOLD YOU SO….
Who said anything about not debating just not prepared to debate on a site where it seems calling people “cretins” and traitors is what passes for debate
The Floor is open here, what ever you say will be published in full views or policy.Perhaps i should start the ball rolling.Do feel that someone who promised change and then offers the same but with the addition of made up post like international relations deserve any thing but ridicule. To be honest John at least you had my respect, some how i can’t get my head around someone your own party dumped twice.Strange though how people on the Star and Salford online suddenly get vocal but can’t be bothered to get up to vote. What level of apathy have you produced in Salford?
