Swinton South Labour Councillor calls burial ground a dog toilet

To be honest it really shows what we have today, a Labour Group with no Elections,No opposition, and a couldn’t care less attitude. The mayor is not to be seen two meetings held under part two, well at least with John Merry you could talk, meet for a coffee, and see  body,Stewart is like the allusive pimpernel, but in his case you don’t see him any where.

Well done to the Labour Led planning committee today.

Talking to residents today, they said they were a shambles, which Swnton South Councillor today said there is no traffic on Wellington road when he drives up it,and there is no cemetery only a dog toilet. I think i will quote him in the next leaflet. But a message to the good people of Swinton South and North ,like the rest of the apathetic you voted them in.

Extremely disappointed today at the attitude of Our elected councillors who refused to listen to the voices / opinions of the very people that they are supposed to represent. They would not let me speak freely, continually interrupted. If they had bothered to listen the only points I wanted to get across were ” Can you our elected councillors please make it a condition of the planning process that the burial ground remains”…..OR….Collectively as our council can you ask the question on behalf of the Swinton people to Asda, Is there any way you can work around the burial site.?? That’s all I wanted to ask….not too much was it. I have now lost all faith in the system, these people are in it for themselves, get elected then its their opinions in the ivory towers not the publics who they are supposed to represent. Utterly disgusted with their attitude and one in particular who has no right to sit on any council. Do they listen to our views..NO….Do they care what the public thinks…..NO……..Complete disgrace to the system, hope its worth it ladies and gents..you disgust me.!!

Comment off Salford online read the rest of the views, interesting.

Well they passed ASDA at Labours hotel today

I wonder i watched the animated display from Labours Councillor Balkind today has he rambled on attacking Mr Moulding, perhaps he will comment the day the remains of these people are moved off site ? it worries me the way Labour are getting hot under the collar over this issue,is it because people are losing their homes, shops are closing and the environment that will suffer,or the plain fact that this bunch of idiots can’t see three supermarkets are not sustainable?

LITTLE HULTON PRIMARY PARENTS AND STAFF CHALLENGE COUNCIL TO PUT DUKESGATE ACADEMY SWITCH TO THE VOTE AS ANOTHER 20 SALFORD SCHOOLS UNDER THREAT

Parents and staff from Dukesgate Primary School in Little Hulton called for the right to vote over the future of their school last night.

Parents questioned the speed of the switch to academy status and admitted confusion, while the NUT accused Salford Council of taking up to half a million pounds out of Salford schools’ budgets for the running of its Academy Trust, without the majority of councillors even knowing what’s been going on.

Parents and staff from Dukesgate voted unanimously to challenge Salford Council to put the academy change to a democratic vote.

Sad day when our pensioners work all their lives to be screwed to the wall in later life.

Many people will be affected by these increases but non more than the pensioners who live in City Waste properties(not a typo).last year the pension increase was £4.20, so,the rent was increased by £5.40, this year the pension increase was £5.60,so, the rent increased by £6.80, so it would appear that the calculation formula used by City Waste is, wait for the pension increase to be announced, add £1.20 and that is the amount, simple isn’t it ?.I know that many pensioners are on benefits and the increases will not affect them, but, there are lots of pensioners who have saved over their working years to provide a decent retirement income only to find that it being taken from them.By this I mean that if a pensioner has £16,000 or more in savings then they do not qualify for benefits and must pay full rent and council tax,to some people this may seem like a fair system but it must be remembered that people who have managed to save for their pension, did so by sacrificing in other areas,i.e not spending their money in pubs and betting shops etc,but the reality of it is that by saving your money all you have done is to create a piggy bank for the council. In my case, I have a state pension which is £406.00 per month, I have to pay the council and City Waste a total of £438.00 per month in rent and council tax which as you can see leaves me with a shortfall of £32.00 per month so the council piggy bank must be raided just to live,so my advice to tenants is, don’t save, blow your money on wine women and song,(you can just waste the rest)and you can then keep all of your pension to live on.
