Been out getting some stats on how many shops have been forced to close and those which should close soon, shaves a big chunk off their job proposals.Funny when you see the local fish man on the video singing Asdas praises, does he really thinks he can compete against ASDA?they offer a good case for corporate spin and bad planning. The traffic will be a nightmare, the small business will disappear and Labour in Salford will shrug it’s shoulders, why should they care they sit unopposed and smug, democracy in Salford died in May.The Local paper censors any opposing voice and the small parties can’t match Labour or the unite union,so will the last person leaving Salford’s Labour Mecca turn out the light.

Joe I have heard and I don’t know if its true, that Asda have paid to move some of the shops one being the paper shop. Now if thats true, when did they do the renovation of the shop, was it before Asda got planning or after. Think the work was done well before the panel sat. Now would you pay for something like this if you were not sure of getting what you wanted. It stinks, but like I say not sure if its true.
Thanks Mary one way to find out i will pop over and try to get some info,Reg knows one of the shop keepers mind of info. Met a bloke last month old friend of Mags George pickup said he knows you old man spoke very highly of him.
Hey Joe, Talking of people moving out, Is that right Norman Owen and the Lib Dems are packing up and leaving, Norman was sighted on the 21st bringing big blue boxs full of paper work out of his office on liverpool street……. like rats leaving a sinking ship
I heard it was true but what’s the point in trying to keep any overheads when there is no money coming in.You me Norman and others wil try to fight LABOUR and we fail because we are taking votes off each other,if i can i would like to see a meeting of minds, fight where we have a chance. and leave other areas for our oppostion if they feel they have a better chance,i mean look at Swinton South
7 candidates the vote splits and Labour wins.We may not agree with each others politics but if we carry on i can’t see any future for any of us.
Yes Joe, I have been talking like this for a long time, the thing is tho, Norman ‘Stormin’ Owen wouldnt listen when we attempted to talk to him, he is rude and a obnoxious little man, at least you and the Greens are respectful and understand the problem before us in Salford, UKIP, English Dems, even the Torys get it, The lib dems didnt want to play ball, hence why i stood candidates every ward they had councilors, I think all the leaders of all party’s should have a meeting, help me arrange it, but we all must be respectful with each other, and understand that we have to fight and attack labour all together.
Politicly we are worlds apart and my party would never allow us to work together you understand that, i was trying to get a sensible agrement from all groups in Salford when they plan their campaigns to put high levels of resource into areas they have a chance of winning and pulling out of areas which offer little hope.We hope to talk with all minority groups and hope to find a way forward. If we follow the Liberal Democrat path of filling wards with paper and the Tories trying to get basis in the inner cities we will get no where. The voter needs choice but we insult then by offering a name on paper. Thanks for keeping your comments just on politics.Joe
