SALFORD COUNCIL SCHOOLS CHAOS AS POPULATION EXPLODES
Star date: 9th July 2012
SALFORD POPULATION TO GROW BY A QUARTER AS SCHOOLS CHAOS COSTS OVER £HALF A MILLION
Despite warnings from the Salford Star and others, Salford Council has been busy bulldozing schools over the last decade. Now, with the city’s population set to explode over the next 15 years it cannot meet demand for school places. 700 places have now got to be found by September at a cost of over half a million pounds.
Well now is this not a suprise. You will remember well Joe when the Lib Dems said they had got their figures wrong and this would happen. But we are talking Warmisham and Merry and they knew better. Think they laughed when Geoff Ainsworth gave them his figures. Well what happens now, back to the cabins in the playgrounds and overcrowed classrooms. Wonder what will happen in Claremont/Swinton when the 300 houses on the former childrens hospital site become occupied with FAMILY’S who would like to put their children in schools, or are the council hoping they are all over 50 or don’t like kids. We also have the former Oakwood School site what happens if they get planning for 40 houses there. Lots of kids, but no places at our local schools.Salford Labour Council making another balls up. They are getting good at that. Wonder what next. Answers please on a big,big roll of wallpaper
Our beloved Mayor was in India last week, maybe now he is going to Ban-cock next, that would solve the population boom problem,
Haha, strictly on business of course! I don’t mind really… as long as he goes by BOAT!
