Every view seems that Labour today could not be bothered ,stifling debate a mayor with no answers and totally lost and a Labour party lacking in leadership the two puppet masters were away. So people this is what you have, opposition in name only unable to do anything against a Labour brick wall and their are no elections so why the hell should we bother. We have gone from monthly meetings to bi monthly to lets hurry up dinners getting cold. Labour in Salford are in reality nothing more than champagne socialist sucking the life blood from the People of this city.

Today’s Salford Council meeting was the first to be held under a new format which imposed time restrictions on the debate different items and aimed to be completed by 12.30pm.
God don’t the Tories have a cheek to expect the Labour Majority to go past 12.30 their subsidised dinner could get cold. To be honest the people of Salford Voted for a Mayor who does not have a clue about local Government and the old guard of Labour dead wood grabbing the money.You sow so you shall reap.

Councillor Howard Balkind proposed a review of the decision to grant Asda planning permission for a store that would involve building over the site where 313 bodies lie.
Balkind, Councillor for Swinton South, claimed that correspondence with the Ministry of Justice lead him to believe that the initial planning application was flawed and that at the planning meeting, those opposed to the plans were not given a fair chance to speak.
Mr Balkind also apologised for comments that he posted during the debate on the issue on SalfordOnline.com.
These claims were swiftly denied by Derek Antrobus, Assistant Mayor for Strategic Planning.
Ian Stewart, the Elected Mayor of Salford, said that there was “no provision for a review” but that he would “keep an eye on this issue.”
Well how was todays Salford Council meeting at Red HQ.
Mr Lancaster was a no show but no worry his money is safe,same for our Mayor who can’t even cobble together a report.Labour cut the debates twice but thank god they where in time for a subsidised dinner. But the icing was of course our Mr Balkind the Kersal kid who apologised over his disgusting behaviour on Salford online,but we ask again after four complaints having gone in to the council does he and Labour think an apology in council would be expectable,well no we have ,contacted the relevant body in council and still wait is this what Labour really stand for? with all the power do they give a stuff about any one but themselves.

Peel Holdings plan to build 350 houses on the green site of Burgess Farm has been given the go ahead by Tory Minister Eric Pickles, despite the independent Planning Inspector recommending that planning permission be refused. Shocked residents are considering an appeal.
