Star date: 30th June 2015

SALFORD COUNCIL LIABLE FOR HUGE DELAY COSTS ON SWINTON GATEWAY

The Swinton Gateway is finally set to open its doors on July 20th, 19 months late and way over budget. The `community hub’ was originally set to cost £5million, paid for by the Salford Clinical Commissioning Group, but huge delays meant the budget soaring to over £6million with the tab picked up by Salford City Council.

Unfortunately, even under the Freedom of Information Act, the Council won’t reveal the true costs of the Swinton Gateway…

The on going saga of the blue bin

Nicked reported no bin, reported for the second time on the councils all singing dancing report line, weeks later still no bin phoned today, oh we will put it as a priority some hopes. I thought i would put in a couple of resident complaints also due to the fact it’s not May election so no sign of the Swinton South Councillors.I wonder will they be put to the bottom of the pile # LABOUR FAIL…

What happens when isis start to destabilise countries?

Tunisia depends on tourism and the reality today is who would wish to visit, how many more countries would feel threatened under attacks by these spineless animals. Should we not today be strengthening our own borders and controls? and if we have to be honest is it not time to say like others this country is not a dumping ground. Our borders lay threatened in France thousands are flocking to gain forced entry into Britain, what of their stance in regards to border control. Why have these people been allowed easy access into France perhaps they should start to look further on how easy people are flocking to gain a piece of the benefit pie. It’s no wonder many is this country sit angry with the ineptitude of central government and being part of a system that takes what laws we had away.  Safety of our citizens is paramount sitting on a fence and spouting excuses helps no one.

Sad when others spend time reflecting on a tragedy.

A Labour parliamentary candidate has sparked outrage by posing for a selfie at the exact spot where a crazed gunman massacred 38 holidaymakers including up to 30 Britons just 48 hours earlier. Amran Hussain, 29, an Army reservist who stood for North East Hampshire in the recent election, was pictured holding his selfie stick aloft as he grinned in front of a pile of flowers and tributes. The politician, who has been pictured with Ed Miliband has now defended his decision saying he visited Marhaba beach in Sousse to pay his ‘respects’ to those who lost their lives and pointing out selfies are not ‘banned’.
