The disintegration of the Labour Party is not good for democracy. Oppositions are meant to try to win by-elections, not slip from 2nd to 4th. The Corbyn factor perhaps?
I have to agree without opposition we have no democracy Salford council has to be the most obvious case. For some strange reason the city have allowed the disintegration of any real opposition to labour when people vote for a badge and get a weak disinterested person to pin it on where does it leave us. The Tories fail to see past the outskirts of Worsley and the rest have to fight with what limited resources we have, who knows perhaps 2018 could be our year.
