BBC’s move to Salford brought a ‘very small benefit to the region’, says report

Well what’s your view?have you seen the 15,000 jobs Labour promised or are we looking at one more piece of Bull? take away the people who moved here from London to fill the jobs they already had did we just fill the chamber maids jobs and sandwich mechanics positions?  Labour scream success with this, the Rugby ground with all it’s free tax money and next the millions with it’s garden centre,when will we ever learn.

The Base reality Six years after the corporation relocated to MediaCityUK in Salford, the think-tank Centre for Cities has found under a third of the predicted jobs have actually been created.

A quarter of those were down to creative firms from other parts of the region moving, with jobs in the media falling in other parts of Greater Manchester over the same period.
