Well we have all seen the demise of the precinct,sold off for peanuts. The owners in their infinite wisdom lease out the car park for 25 years. The knock on effect, the area as line after line of parking restrictions. The residents are fed up. business is crumbling around our feet.and people are moving further down the streets to park.I don’t know short term thinking comes to mind from the council and the owners. But what for the people who have to live here. This Labour run council and it’s planers offered us a master plan. Well i think we need some new thoughts on that because LABOUR you failed,not only yourselves but the people of this city.

INSIDE SALFORD POLITICS 
I had a theory that Mole 45 was Joe O’Neil but Obviously not. Joe would never have been so ignorant as to believe the Council ever owned the precinct. We did own the land on which it was built and the value was based on in effect the chief rent we were paid. Perhaps Mole 45 should take the trouble to talk to Joe. On a related note Martin did raise the question of the briefing session I promised on the precinct and I think the ownership position has now clarified and it would be helpful if this took place soon.
John we have the central pinincle of this city based within swinton,we see great plans for the future, what went wrong. I think we all know what the council
did or did not own.The argument is what did you do to Prevent the decline, Eccles walkden and now swinton, where do you see the future, Lets look back as Liberal Democrats, we can’t get passed the door to meetings over the market. The ability to gain information is limited, when did you ever seek our views. It concerms me that your view is limited to media city. There are large parts of this city that are crumbling and where will the people lay the blame in 2010 not on our doorstep john it will be yours
