Are Labour better at getting their core vote out than us?

Well we had a candidate that had every thing you would want, honesty, fearless. integrity, willing to battle against the odds. How many people come into a campaign for the first time, prepared to write and set up their own material, go out and talk to the people. take on cases we found while we were on the ground. Not many, did we fail as a party to provide the backing he needed.

  1. Should we use positive campaigning or negative
  2. Did we utilise the Blears fiasco well enough
  3. Did we target key policy areas.tell the residents who we are in one clear message.
  4. Did we target the student population in the area
  5. Did we target our elderly population.
  6. The problems we found on the ground do we utilise it well enough.
  7. Did we get enough people from the party on the ground.

In Pendlebury i felt our campaign was a shambles today i feel we have started to turn things around. People must remember we are fighting in Labour Heartland, Campaign manager and agent are two vital roles, Next time around i will ask for control of a the campaign to try out the method and style we have used in Swinton South, we have taken control of a labour ward through hard work, things don’t happen over night, but i say to my party that if we carry on using the methods we have used prior we will lose.Labour hold all the cards and to win we must start to play a lot harder, as for the Tory revolution it’s obvious it by passed Irwell Riverside. I  believe our man will have a seat by 2010 and i hope i can help him reach the goal he deserves and the people of this city deserve.
