Honest opinions and Nothing rude what do you think about Conservatives?

To be honest i was sat in bed  last night with my cup of coffee and the thought came to me. What do people really imagine when they think of Conservatives?

  1. Upper-crust?
  2. Snobby?
  3. Rich?
  4. Fox hunters?
  5. Gentry
  6. Harry Enfield Tory Boy.
  7. Thatchers people
  8. Toffee nosed?

I don’t no what you think but i if you where to ask me, then i would say a party that created a large gap between the Rich and the Poor, destroyed the unions destroyed the Mining industry, sold off large section of our wealth for peanuts, privatised industries like utilities, which now make fortunes for shareholders while many can hardly afford heat. should i go on?

  1. Conservative… hrmm… without going into a lot of the reasons why and the background, I would never vote Conservative. Thatcher’s governance have a lot to answer for, with privatisation and commercialisation of public services to name but two examples. It could be argued (and probably would be argued) that these are policies of the past but these days the Tories are no better. These days all we get is David Cameron opposing every Labour policy without much thought or insight… this week they’re against spending cuts because Labour’s in favour of it. Last week it was the other way around.

  2. I remember the above only too well, unlike the frothing at the mouth young Lib Dem free marketeers. Hate the Tories with a passion. They’re still for the few and not the many, they’re still fort he powerful and never the powerless. No matter how poor Labour currently are, no matter how clever Cameron’s skilful PR, having lived in the north of England / Midlands during Thatcher’s reign, I still see Labour as competition for the progressive vote and the Tories the perpetual enemy.

  3. Labour is corrupt and out of touch with reality. They may have represented ‘the many’ in the past, but the only people the party currently represents is its own MPs. Labour is far too worried about looking good on TV than political substance.
